New Term Topic

Our new term topic for the Inquiry is 'Earth, Moon and the Sun'. We will be visiting STARDOME in week 3 on 30th of October in the afternoon.

What a success in our Wearable Art Show!!

On 17th of September the Middle school's Wearable Art Show was held at the school hall. It was great to see many familiar faces to support from the community for this event. Here are some of the photos which were taken in the class earlier.And some of them are actual show on the following day.

Just A Minute Speakers

TA shared her collective bears which she has started to collect since she was

six years old. She now has 28 of them. She is a very lucky person! FL talked about her father's company and his company secret! her father works for Coca Cola and the secret ingredients of the drink is...sugar! of course we knew, carbonated liquid and...cola liquid! What's in the liquid is only known to some intelligent people in the company! Perhaps next time we can go and visit the factory?

Father's Day Breakfast at BDS

Last Friday we had our annual Fathers' Day Breakfast at BDS. There were great turn out with fathers and granddads. Here are some of the fathers and room 17 students who were able to join us!

Special Visitor

We had a special visitor Chris who was from Sustainablecoastline. We learnt... Many people drop rubbish on the road and they could go into storm drainage to the sea. We saw some birds, turtle and fish that died from eating those rubbish. We learnt that some of plastic are only used once. We watched few videos of birds, fish and whales are eating rubbish in the sea. The interesting video was about some children who picked up rubbish to make amazing art with them. The art piece showed a dolphin shape with sky all around it. We also saw thousands of rubbish in the LA river. We learnt that we should put rubbish in the bin and we should put into our lunch box until we take it home. Also we should be picking up rubbish outside when you see them..We should be using reusable shopping bag or drinking bottle instead of plastic bottles. We should never litter and we should keep on talking about it with adults.

Just Minute Speakers Week 4

CJ talked about his collection of Superheros models and cars Superheros. You collected over the years. His favourite piece was Batman, because I always play with him. He can do cartwheel punch! SK talked about her trip to Japan. She showed us her Kimono (yukata) outfit, origami arts, fish market writing and some of the fish photos, Tokyo Disneyland map, talked about the experiences there.
