Just a Minute Speaker

MC brought his special collections of Lego Hero Factory series. He has more than thirty of them. During this speech, he showed us 'Jet Ray!' He told us that all the series parts can be taken off to attach to other pieces. He also has 'Spider monkey'.  He got most of them for 5th birthday gifts from his dad. Lucky him!!

We'll have two more speakers on this Friday.

By the way, our assembly is not on this Friday! It will be the last assembly Friday this term.
We will love to have you at our assembly. It will be on Friday the 12th of July.
Looking forward to it!!

Just a Minute Speaker

SK shared with us her special pink teddy 'Rosie Puffin' which was given to her as her 6th birthday gift. She may have only one eye and her shoulder is bit torn, she is much loved by K. It must be from lots of cuddle and love that K gives to Rosie Puffin.

Just a Minute Speaker

This weeks JMS was done by PR. He talked about his soccer team in this speech. He is in the 8th grade Rep team in Fencible club. He has won several medals and trophies so far. He's been playing soccer for two years. He enjoys playing soccer and he practices with the team in the Meadowland weekly.
I'm sure he can display his skills in our sports time for sure!
Next week, MC and SK will be sharing their speeches, and we are looking forward to it!

Making Butter!!!

On Friday we attempt to make butter from cream, using three bottles of glass jars, cream and three marbles. We all had our Hypothesis of what would happen and why it would happen prior to our experiments. Then we all had our tern to shake and stir the jars until it started to thicken the cream. We observed and discussed what was happening and why it occurred.
We also talked about the kitchen rules and why it is necessary for those rules.
It was interesting to see and think of the differences between the size of jars as well. One of jar was started to crack for shaking vigorously.
There are some of the photos from this experiments.

Term Two

A new term has started well and truly, and we are already busy making butter from cream to see the change in the kitchen. We are learning to describe the change by thinking how it happens, why it happens when it cooked, heated and stirred etc, and what if...in our Inquiry topic.
We began our sports rotation. All the students are required to bring House T-shirts and wear our school sports shorts on Tuesday.
We are going on a school trip to Tip Top on Wednesday! Thank you for your kind offers to make this trip successful.
We are also having our Bake Sale this term as a Middle syndicate fundraising activity for our school.
We hope we will have an another fantastic term, and we would appreciated your continuous support.

Kind regards

Mrs. Giovanni
